As humans, we benefit from daily vitamins, and probiotics help maintain our overall health. It’s important to note that your pet will benefit from them, as well.

Probiotics area a super important factor for your pet’s health, as they are the “good” bacteria that enter your pup’s gut, helping to breakdown and digest food. Aside from promoting healthier and easier digestion on your pet, making for less upset tummies and more firm bowel movements, probiotics also help to cancel out the harmful bacteria in the stomach that could make them sick.

Probiotics help promote overall health in your pet too, helping maintain immune health, dental health, soft skin and coats, clean ears, healthy eyes, etc.

The best way to make sure your pet is getting their probiotics are though digestive supplements such as powders and bone broths that can be mixed into a pet’s food. Picky pets may refuse anything that isn’t hidden in their food.

Pets with constant stomach upsets, constipation, diarrhea, dry coats, runny eyes, etc. could really benefit from probiotics, but even if they’re completely healthy, it’s still smart to use them to maintain their good health as much as possible.

For pickier pets, we recommend powders such as Animal Essentials Plant Enzyme and Probiotic that can be sprinkled and mixed into food. This product is plant based, making it all natural and promoting healthy digestion. If your pet isn’t as picky and may like something new to them that they may even consider a treat, we love to recommend raw goat’s milk, as it is packed with natural enzymes and probiotics, making it really healthy and easy on the stomach, while hydrating the pet as well.

As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to your local pet store if you have questions on this or any pet related topic.
